Vic Akers is one of the most successful domestic coaches in the history of women's football, having led Arsenal to dominance in England's competitions. During his tenure as head coach, Akers won an impressive 32 major trophies. He also played a foundational role in the club's history, establishing Arsenal Ladies (now Arsenal Women) in 1987
